I have an issue with foocamp...

I have an issue with Foocamp, and it isn't because I (unlike some of my co-workers) wasn't invited. For that matter I have the same issue with Barcamp (which I may have attended if I wasn't out of state on vacation floating down the Snake River in Wyoming during that time...). My issue is more of a sematic one. When I think of "camping" I think of carrying around 40 lbs of gear on your back and walking around in a remote pristine environment. On that note I'm proposing CampCamp. Invitees are required to carry everything they use. The only electronic equipment will be gps and digital camera (or a hacked CVS camcorder). Food will be hand prepared by yourself. The scenery will be inspiring. The days will consist of walking and conversing. Talk about what you want, get a break from your virtual umbilical cords (be they cell phones, blackberries, wifi, etc). Hopefully this setting will be conducive to planning the next big thing, and you'll come back refreshed and ready to go. Oh there will definitely be a size limit (determine by the size of the wilderness permit obtained), probably between 10-20. After that there will be a series of other camps, CanyonCamp (similar to CampCamp but done in canyoneering style), RiverCamp (done on inflatable vessels), BikeCamp (pedal powered), *Camp... So will Foocamp please change their name to FooSleepOver... ps. Yes this post is slightly tongue in cheek, but possible. I know many places that would be awe inspiring, and probably cheaper than a conference (my wife and I hiked to Machu Pichu, and Torres del Paine, and both trips cost less than a conference pass/lodging/travel to OSCON).
