Intro to python testing talk (unittest, doctest, coverage)

posted 2007.11.07 Wed

I'm giving an introductory talk on testing tomorrow for Utah Python. I'm planning to cover unittest, doctest, coverage and interpreting coverage results. At the end will be a hands on session for applying what we've learned. We'll write a simple program and then try and achieve good test coverage using unittest, doctest and figleaf. If you don't have a laptop, you can pair with someone who does.

If you're in the Salt Lake area, I'd invite you to come out. We don't bite too hard. Plus there's usually food and beverages.

A copy of the rst source for the presentation, handouts, sample code and figleaf and pymetrics source can be found here

Any chance this meeting will be streamed like others in the area?

Reader-

I'm not sure of current status of streaming the meetings. If you are involved in another user group in the area perhaps I can present there....
