May Utah Python Meeting

posted 2007.05.11 Fri

Last night I attended the Utah Python User Group meeting. The meeting location was changed to a library in Salt Lake instead of the Mozy headquarters in American Fork. It appears that the more central location was quite a draw since there were some 20 people in attendance.

Jonathon Ellis spoke on Python 202. He went over the various features found in 2.x series.

I spoke on Code Standards and Complexity for Dynamic Languages (with some examples in python). A pdf of my slides is found here. To any perl or ruby folk [lazy web] out there, if there are tools similar to the python examples, I'd love to hear about them.

Note that I've blogged briefly on code auditing in python previously.
