I occasionally need to use windows for clients. And I often transfer files via thumb drives. I needed a new drive so I slipped of to Costco to buy a 3 pack. I copy the files from linux, and put the disk in the windows machine and it starts installing U3 technology. Argghhh. So I eject the drive, and put in back in Linux and wipe it (sudo mkfs.vfat /dev/sdb1). I plug it back into the windows machine and blue screen! According to this blog you can only uninstall using a sandisk or U3 tool. Normal windows uninstall processes don't apply.... Can I have that wasted hour of my life back?
