Calling all testers (and developers). In an effort to boost testing among open source components, my employer is offering $20,000 in awards (as well as O'Reilly books) to Open Source projects who compete in the
SpikeSource Open Testing Contest.
I've blogged a little about testing previously, and think it's an important and underrated activity. For those new to testing who want to participate, check out
Wikipedia's overview of unit tests. Here's a nice article on
unit testing patterns. And to do some of the fancier testing you might want to check out
mock objects.
Good luck squashing those bugs!
